DRIME Hosts California Team
DRIME exists to reach lost people for Christ through choreographed street drama, empower others for ministry through drama and evangelism training, and produce passionate, discipled leaders through purposed community.
The heart of DRIME’s ministry can be seen on any typical Saturday night on the streets of downtown Vancouver. A team that uses the combination of drama and one-on-one evangelism shares the message of Jesus with anyone who will stop and listen. Over the years, DRIME has had opportunity to minister on various streets across North America in cities like Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, Toronto, Portland, Seattle, and Chicago, as well as in countries like Argentina, Brazil, Ireland and Ethiopia. So whether on the streets of Vancouver, the orphanages of Russia, the schools of Brazil or the slums of Kenya, DRIME desires to reach the lost for Jesus through a medium that speaks to the heart.
We are passionate about the multiplication of ministry! Though local, consistent street ministry is a priority, we love to hear about the active ministries all around the world – teams who have been established and who are being equipped to share the Gospel on their street corners, their communities and in their spheres of influence. DRIME hosts conferences and various workshops to train others in drama and evangelism, and to inspire others to launch similar ministries in their communities. Mission teams, youth groups and individuals with a heart for the lost and for creative evangelism have attended these workshops and have gone on to effectively minister in their own cities.
One of the greatest joys of ministry is seeing team members truly catch the vision of the larger organization. DRIME offers a unique platform for its members to be invested in and to be developed personally, spiritually, and in leadership. Through a variety of experiences, they not only have the chance to reach out and serve others, they have the unique opportunity to be believed in and to be part of something bigger than themselves. Whether it is through leading mission trips, helping plan workshops, facilitating a prayer group, or organizing bag lunches for the streets, DRME members are constantly being empowered and given ownership of various projects.
