Last night I was moved to tears repeatedly ...
amazing how you can be a Christian for so many years and then one day
it just clicks ... He did that ... He endured that ... for me?!

Missions
KENYA 2006:
This summer members from DRIME’s two active bases, Canada and Brazil, traveled to Africa to participate in DRIME’s second mission trip in Kenya, the site of DRIME’s second extension base. While there, the team ministered beside DRIME’s three Kenya ambassadors, Lillian Tarvudd, Mark Wall, and Shelley Weglo, and the future leaders of DRIME Kenya. Although most ministry was done in the form of open air drama presentations on Kibera’s streets, the team also had the opportunity to visit orphanages and hospitals, train dramas to local youth, and participate in door-to-door evangelism, a form of ministry that is widely accepted and welcomed in Kenya.
“During a performance in a Nairobi park, a city official who had given us so much grief regarding our right to perform wandered over and began to watch. Then, when we began to share our testimonies, he encouraged us to plug our microphones in so everyone could hear. God had entered in and shattered the walls built around this man’s heart. In the way that only He can, God took what the enemy intended for evil and turned it into good as the answers to our prayers culminated in witnessing the city official approach one of DRIME’s Kenyan ambassadors and ask if he could meet with her to hear the gospel. In that moment I know the enemy cowered away, having suffered a humiliating defeat.” - Laura Procé
“Doing ministry with Kenyans is refreshing. They live with a trust in God that puts me to shame, and sharing their faith is something they do daily. Sharing with non-believing Kenyans is equally as refreshing. Most already believe in God, but don’t own Bibles or attend church. For so many, sharing the Gospel really just means “putting the pieces together” - sharing the full story of salvation. Following one of our performances, I was trying to talk to a teenage girl, Christine, about the Gospel message. James, my eleven-year-old Kenyan pal, stepped in to help. It was precious to see him translating my words and adding his own about his growing faith in Christ. I was ‘all smiles’ hearing Christine pray in her own language to ask Christ into her heart, and later debriefing with James about it.” - Michael Prins
